Abstract: The paper used sequencing batch reactor( SBR) inoculated by the nitrosation biofilm and the anaerobic ammonia oxidation( ANAMMOX) granular sludge respectively. The effects of different pH on the autotrophic nitrogen removal processes were investigated. The results showed that higher nitrite accumulation rate would be achieved to 0. 79 kg /( m3·d) when the pH value was kept at 8. 18 in the nitrification reaction. The nitrogen removal efficiency of anammox bacteria reached the maximum performance and the total nitrogen removal rate was 1. 52 kg /( m3·d) when the reaction pH of anammox was 7. 85.The nitrogen removal rate reached to 0. 98 kg /( m3·d) when influent pH was 7. 7 ± 0. 1 in the combined process,and pH in the nitrification part was 7. 5 and the anammox part was 7. 6,respectively.
