Abstract: As typical parts of vehical, the flange shaft and the spherical housing ate play major roles in transmitting torque and carrying. As the key component part of transmission, the flange shaft is play a major role in efficiency and safety for the vehical.Through the isothermal compression and the metallographic tests are conducted on the material of flange shaft such as XC45 steel.the high temperature deformation behaviors with the temperature range from 1 053 K to 1 253 K and the strain rates range from0.01s-1 to 10s-1 of XC45 steel are studied.the true stress-true stain curves are obtained. The influence rules of process parameters on microstructure are revealed.and the microstructure evolution models of XC45 steel under different deformation conditions are established, and the result of the model is verified. The results show that:Compared with experimental data, the average error of microstructure evolution models is built in the paper are all within 20%.So the deformation process can be better described with the microstructure evolution models.
