Abstract: Chronic heart failure( CHF),an important world public health problem,is the end-stage of various cardiovascular disease,and is the main cause of death among patients with heart disease. Its five-year survival rate is nearly the same as malignant tumor. Therefore,researches on the prevention and treatment of CHF have quite important clinical significances. In recent years,the experimental and clinical researches on the prevention and treatment of CHF with traditional Chinese medicine increased gradually. The results showed that traditional Chinese medicine( TCM)plays an important role in improving the prognosis and life quality of patients with CHF. The researches on the mechanism of prevention and treatment of CHF with traditional Chinese medicine,have also obtained certain achievements.
