Abstract: Mesenchymal stem cells are pluripotent adult stem cells, which have ability to secrete trophic factors and to modulate inflammatory responses. Although the roles of mesenchymal stem cells in tissue repair, remodeling and immunomodulatory have been accepted by clinic, however, the mechanism of MSCs Chemotaxis and homing remains unclear. SDF-1/CXCR4 axis plays a vital role in mediating the differentiation, migration and homing of MSCs. If they could be done an in-depth inquiry, to clarify the mechanisms of homing, it will contribute to the application of Mesenchymal stem cells in clinic.
