Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of pediatric viral myocarditis, and provide clinical basis for the treatment of viral myocarditis. Methods96 cases of children with viral myocarditis in our hospital from June 2013 to October 2014 were randomly divided into 2 groups,48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine Western medicine. The treatment group was additionally given traditional Chinese medicine. The clinical effect, such as changes of myocardial enzyme and ejection fraction( LVEF),stroke volume( SV),cardiac output quantity( CO) was observed. Results The total efficiency was 93. 75% in the treatment group,54. 17% in the control group( P < 0. 05). After the treatment,LVEF,SV,CO were significantly increased in both groups( P < 0. 05),and the indices in the treatment group were significantly higher than that in the control group( P < 0. 05). After the treatment, creatine kinase( CKMB),alpha hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase( HBDH) in both groups were significantly decreased( P < 0. 05). CKMB and HBDH were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group( P < 0. 05). Conclusion Integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine had significant curative effect and high safety in the treatment of infantile viral myocarditis, worthy of clinical application.
