Abstract: The demonstration project of the rural school children’s palace, existing resources in rural schools, was a platform to develop cultural and sports activities, hobbies and enhance the quality for rural students. The results showed that project activities of the rural school children’s palace in Tongren have not yet meet requirements of developing rural school children’s palaces by the three ministries of China, especially in carrying out musical activities. The paper studied main problems of the rural school children’s palace in Tongren and provided advices to promote musical activities.
