Abstract: The silver oil-spot glaze was prepared by using kaolin,calcite,talc,quartz,feldsqar,Fe2O3 and Co3O4 as materials. The influences of Fe2O3 content and Co3O4 content on the oil-spot glaze effect were studied. The results show that the color of oil-spot glaze turns to silver with the increase of Fe2O3.But too much Fe2O3 will cause uneven glaze. When the Fe2O3 content is 0. 0255 mol,the glaze effect is the best. The appropriate Co3O4 not only make the oil spot effect more obvious, but also make the silver effect more prominent. When the Co3O4 content is 2wt%,the glaze has the best oil-spot effect. The effects of the sintering temperature and glaze thickness on the oil-spot glaze were also studied. The optimal process conditions are as follows, sintering temperature is 1270 ℃,holding time is 30 min and the glaze thickness is 1. 2-1. 5 mm.
