Abstract: The MEMS centrifugal mechanism is a new unlocking mechanism of the MEMS safety and arming mechanism. By using mechanical analysis,the theorem of momentum and the theorem of kinetic energy,the thrust calculation formula of centrifugal slide block is deduced and the rationality of the formula is verified by ADAMS simulation. The ADAMS simulation is used to determine the horizontal distance from the shaft to the substrate symmetry axis,which is 2. 28 mm,and that the gap value between the pin puller and the centrifugal slide block is equal to that between the rotating pin and the centrifugal slide block. It can meet the design need that the rotating pin doesn’t reply and that the thrust applied by the centrifugal slide block is the largest for the rotating pin,at the same time,the centrifugal slide block can move in place. While the simulation experiment is carried out for the centrifugal mechanism,which is made by the LIGA process,it verifies the rationality of the design.
