Abstract: In order to evaluate the soil fertility of Weifang tobacco planting area, total 592 soil samples from main tobacco growing areas of Weifang were collected, and the pH value, organic matter, hydrolytic N, available P and K contents were measured. Moreover, eighty-six typical soil samples were selected, and the exchangeable Ca, Mg and effective B contents were measured. The results showed that 95.44%soil samples had appropriate pH value, 30.24%soil samples were low in organic matter content. All of the soil samples were rich in hydrolytic N, exchangeable Ca and Mg, but low in available P, K and B.Therefore, controlling N fertilizer and increasing the application amounts of P, K, B fertilizer and organic matter was the suggested fertilization strategy, and taking reasonable rotation mode at the same time.
