Abstract: Objective To analysis the brain structural changes of sleep-wake circadian rhythm disorders in the stroke pa-tients,in order to understand the possible links between the circadian clock system and other brain tissue. Methods Retrospec-tive analysis of imaging data of stroke patients was performed, who were divided into study group composed of 21 cases with sleep-wake circadian rhythm disorders and the control group made up of 92 cases without this disorder, comparing the data be-tween two groups and finding the possible damaged brain areas causing this disorder.Result We found that the affected brain regions located in front of the lateral ventricle occipital horn, the lateral of the hypothalamus, the rear of the insular cortex, the medial of the temporal lobe may have some relationship with sleep-wake circadian rhythm disorders in the stroke patients.Con-clusion The sleep-wake circadian rhythm disorders in the stroke patients may be related to the specific damaged brain regions.
