Abstract: Using Narcissus tazetta var.chinensis as material, the effect of salicylic acid(SA)onits growth and plant type and flowering time regulation by spraying SA with different concentrations were studied. The results showed that the plant height of Narcissus tazettavar.chinensis was decreased under SA treatment, flowering time was postponed and the flowering period was extended. The best effect on plant height was observed under SA treatment with 600mg/L,the plant height was decreased 8.8%by compared with CK,the best effect on stalk height was observed under SA treatment with 800mg/L,and the stalk height was decreased 13.0% by compared with CK.The most obvious effect on delaying flowering was observed under 800mg/L SA treatment, which was ten days later by compared with CK.The longest flowering period was observed under 100 mg/L SA treatment, which lasted up to 29 days and extended 7days by compared with CK.In addition, there was a significant difference in leaf width, leaf thickness, stalk number and stalk strength by spraying SA.However, there was no significant effect on the number of plantlet number, leaf number, stalk number and flower number by spraying SA.
