Abstract: Hua Yue ,a famous military theoretician in the middle of the Southern Song Dynasty , to solve out the troubles Song Army was facing during resisting against the cavalry of Huns ,express‐ly brought that the new weapons and equipments should be developed and improved according to de‐mand of operation;depending on the arms and users ,the quality of weapons and equipments should be put on the priority ;the configuration of weapons and equipment musts be adjusted according to conditions of soldiers constantly ;and the important thoughts such as "seeking for materials for pur‐pose and determining purpose according to characteristics of materials".They are still enlightening to enhance today’s construction of weapons and equipments .
