Abstract: The Man in the PrinciPal's Office:An Ethnography is a typical and significant study of ethnography. In content,it pres-ents the principals of primary schools and the culture they live in with a case study,and also proposes the perspective from which eth-nography can be studied. In another word,it studies and exposes social individuals and the environment around them,the social cul-ture behind the individuals and their common behaviors,and also the mutual impact between individuals and the environment against the background of the very culture circle. The methodology of the study of ethnography,therefore,serves to help obtain this particular perspective,the core element of which lies at the word"understand",that is,the methodology and the process of studying it is on the whole for one single purpose-to understand a certain cultural society thoroughly,comprehensively,scientifically and effectively. The author of The Man in the Principal's Office:An Ethnography,as a matter of fact,has manifested this point with evidence and force.
