Abstract: Objective:To observe the curative effect of acupuncture at Ashi points of meridian muscle region combined with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction in treating knee osteoarthritis. Methods:92 cases of knee osteoarthritis patients,were randomly divided into treatment group(46 cases)and drug control group(46 cases). Duhuo Jisheng Decoction was used in the control group,and the therapy of acupuncture at Ashi points of meridian muscle region combined with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction were used in the treatment group. 1 month was a treatmen course. The change of the VAS and WOMAC scores were observed after 1 course of treatment,and evaluating the curative effect. Results:After one course of treatment,two groups in VAS and WOMAC scores were lower,and the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05);in the control group,the total effective rate was 85.71%,and 97.83% in the treatment group. There was statistically significant difference of the total efficiency between the treatment group and the control group. Conclusion:The therapy of acupuncture at Ashi points of meridian muscle region combined with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction can relieve the symptoms of knee osteoarthritis patients with pain,stiffness,and improve the quality of life of patients.
