Abstract: After long years of speeding development,Chinese high- star hotels in 2013 had a negative growth in industry profits for the first time,and since then,many five- star hotels began to be degraded. The paper makes a deep analysis according to the status quo of high- star hotels in China. The degradation wave was triggered by many reasons,including Eight Rules,development surplus,star- rating cumbersome process etc.,According to existing problems,the paper comes forward suggestions for the transitional development of high- star hotels.
