Abstract: In parallel cooling towers engineering projects,the common scheme is to install an electric valve in the water inlet of the tower linkage with the cooling water pump but not in the water outlet and set up balance pipes among the parallel towers,which meets the design specifications.In practically,when the inlet valve is switched off,water spills over from the opened tower whereas the closed tower receives water supplement.Investigates the reason and proposes suggestions by an analysis of specific case.
