Research on two modeling methods in the reconstruction of three-dimensional model of antiquities

Abstract: The massive point cloud data opens up a new method for 3D reconstruction of antiquities. The conventional means of acquisition point cloud is to use 3D laser scanning technology. The hardware and software of laser scanning is expensive and not very popular,and the workload of data acquisition is relatively large. In this paper,based on the digital photogrammetry and computer vision principle,using the multi view image reconstruction technique,only takes the multiple photos of the target,the digital photo matching alignment,and generates the surface point cloud data of the target. Based on point cloud data,both the triangle grid method and the feature line extraction method are used to complete 3D model reconstruction. At the same time,this paper discusses the key technology and the main problems which provide technical supports for the actual production.
