Abstract: Job burnout of teaching secretaries in colleges and universities has been discussed in this paper and there are several reasons accounting for this job burnout as follows: the low level of professionalism of teaching secretaries resulting in the weak professional self-identity; the heavy workload resulting in the low sense of self-efficacy; the lack of training and promotion mechanism resulting in the setback of work enthusiasm and the undeclared self-value resulting in the lack of self-fulfillment. This paper puts forward the following countermeasures so as to ease gradually the job burnout of teaching secretaries: to improve the professional identity by upgrading the specialized level; to promote the professionalism of teaching secretaries by making the professional duties clear; to arouse the work enthusiasm by establishing multiple cultivation mechanism and to realize the self-fulfillment by creating a "people-oriented"work environment.
