Process optimization of rapid heat cycle molding technology based on a certain car remote control shell

Abstract: The process parameters influencing product quality of rapid heat cycle molding technology were studied in combination of computer aided engineering, orthogonal experiments and variance analysis based on a certain car remote control shell. The results showed that the effect of melt temperature on the volume shrinkage was the most significant followed by mold temperature, injection pressure, holding pressure and injection time. The packing pressure, packing time and cooling time had less influences on the volume shrinkage. A multiple regression product quality prediction model was established by means of selecting the process parameters of melt temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure, injection time and holding pressure. A new idea was proposed for the process optimization of the rapid heat cycle molding technology through validating the feasibility of the experiments by some examples.
