Abstract: According to the hydroconversion process of cyclic acetal 2 - (4 '- hydroxy butoxy) – tetrahydrofuran in 1,4-butanediol production, Ni-based acetal hydrogenation catalyst was prepared with the impregnation method. The effect of nickel content and calcination temperature on catalyst performance was studied in the small fixed bed hydrogenation unit. The results of 800-hour running experiment show that, when the nickel content is about 30%,and the catalyst calcination temperature is the benchmark, prepared catalyst has good hydrogenation activity, selectivity, stability and water resistance.
