Assessment of efficacy of pingyangmycin in the treatment of verruca plantaris

Abstract: Objective:To assess the efficacy of pingyangmycin in the treatment of verruca plantaris. Meth-ods:One hundred and ninety-two patients were treated with pingyangmycin and 170 patients were treated with liquid nitrogen cryotherapy as control. The therapeutic efficacy and adverse reactions were assessed at 7th day after single treatment. Results:The cure rate and effective rate in the pingyangmycin group were 63.0% and 88.0%, which were higher than those in the control group (48.8% and 70.6%). The main adverse reaction in the pingyangmycin group was pain after treatment and that in the control group was pain and blister. Conclusion:Pingyangmycin was effective and safe in the treatment of verruca plantaris.
