Abstract: The language programmes in domestic private application-oriented colleges are facing many challenges,while Dublin In-stitute of Technology is famous in Europe for its success in the cultivation of application-oriented professionals.This paper adoptsthe methods of literature research and comparative analysis,carries out an in-depth investigation into the language programmes inDIT,and introduces and analyzes the features and experience of the language programmes in DIT’s School of Languages.It ishoped that ideas in this paper may offer some reference to domestic private application-oriented colleges in the organization of lan-guage programmes.
