Abstract: Owing to some outstanding properties, such as large surface area, strong adsorption capacity, quick carrier transmission and so on, Ti O2 nanotube arrays shows great potential applications which has become research focus in the field of photoelectric conversion, photocatalysis and other fields. Unfortunately, Ti O2 nanotube arrays have the inherent defects of Ti O2 which can be activated only by UV light of wavelength <387 nm because of its large band gap; moreover, photo-generated electrons and holes are easily to recombine, which restrict their use in practice applications. Extensive research from home and abroad have been devoted to modify Ti O2 nanotube arrays, in which definite progress have been achieved by synthetically using various means to make multivariatmodification. This paper reviews multiple modification and applications of Ti O2 nanotube arrays, and analyzes the problems might be existed and future research trends.
