Abstract: Yan Yangchu(Y.C.James Yen)is an eminent mass educator in modern Chinese history.His mass educational thought and practice contain some thoughts of educational psychology,embodied in his application of mental tests and scientific investigation,his selection of teaching material and method and the setting of educational objective and content of mass education.His thoughts of educational psychology is of great theoretical and practical significance and has been referred to in today’s teaching and research.
