Abstract: Objective To observe mitral valve structure and measure mitral valve orifice area with heart mitral disease using dualsource CT(DSCT), and compare the results with echocardiography. Methods 72 cases with heart mitral disease were quantitatively analyzed by using DSCT coronary artery angiography and echocardiography. The raw data of DSCT were reconstructed every 5%R-R interval and imorpted to the Functional Analysis, Mitral valve orifice area was measured in the phase which the mitral valve orifice area was maximaland contrasted it with the area that measured by echocardiography. Results There was no statistical difference between DSCT and echocardiography for the measurement of the mitral valve orifice area(t=0.64,P>0.05). Conclusion DSCT can accurate measure mitral valve orifice area with heart mitral disease.
