Numerical Simulation Method of Air Distribution in Cabin of Space Station

Abstract: The ventilation system plays an important role on the air quality and thermal comfort inside the space station. The microgravity experiment is hard to be achieved so that computational fluid dynamics( CFD)is commonly used in the cabin ventilation system design and research inside the space station. The research status of the cabin airflow numerical simulation inside the space station was summarized. According to the cabin airflow numerical simulation characteristics inside the space station,multiple methods that can enhance the room airflow numerical simulation on the ground were compared with each other. It is concluded that the coupled numerical simulation method of the ventilation duct system and the cabin may satisfy better ground experimental data validation and design or research requirement of the airflow inside the space station without relative experiment. Finally,the possible development direction of this coupled simulation method was proposed.
