Abstract: Objective: To investigate the clinical value of colour ultrasonic combined with glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT) detection in the diagnosis of alcoholic fatty liver of patients with alcohol dependence. Methods: A total of 39 patients with alcohol dependence, who were admitted to Guangzhou Huiai Hospital from May 2013 to April 2014, were chosen as study group; the other 40 healthy people from the hospital staff and training medical personnel, as control group. The two groups were detected with liver colour ultrasonic and GGT test, and the detection results were analyzed. Results: The serum GGT level(189.95±226.52 U/L) in the study group was significantly higher than that(26.85±18.94 U/L) in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(t=4.54, P<0.001); There were significant differences in the level of GGT between the patients with alcoholic fatty liver and the patients with non alcoholic fatty liver in the study group(P<0.05), which was significantly higher than the patients with alcoholic fatty liver in the control group the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Colour ultrasonic combined with GGT detection can enhance the clinical detection rate of alcoholic fatty liver. Serum GGT is a high sensitivity detection index for the patients with alcohol dependence, and the GGT detection is helpful for the discovery of early alcoholic disease.
