Abstract: This article uses natural research method to analyze teachers′discourse characteristics in audio-vis-ual English class. Research data indicate that the amount of teacher talk is more than students talk; classroom dis-course time is jointly dominated by teachers and students;in teachers′classroom discourse, declarative sentences are more than interrogative sentences and imperative sentences are rarely used; teachers also use a lot of doubt sen-tences, among which reference questions are far more than show questions; the positive feedback of students is far more than negative feedback.
