Abstract: Disaster social impact assessment is a comprehensive evaluation for the human relations in society,the organizational structure of society,the social public security,the livelihood of a family,the individual physical and mental health after natural disasters. Disaster social impact assessment contributes to government and social forces to understand preferably unfavorable influence induced by nutural disasters on society of disaster areas,and they can provide assistance and support for the people in the disaster areas. Based on the research of timing,scope,procedures,principles,contents,methods and perspectives of disaster social impact assessment,this paper puts forward the basic frame and index system of disaster social impact assessment. There are 55 indexes for disaster social impact assessment,including population and family structure,public service facilities,livelihood of a family,people’s daily life,social stability and social psychology. We want to construct the basic framework of the social impact assessment.
