Abstract: Facing in the practical demands of basic geographic information sharing, to build up smart city of Jianye District was analyzed at the very beginning in the article. Then, according to the general goal and management mechanism of developing sharing platform of geographic information,"a set of standards system, a set of databases system, a set of softwares system, and a set of operation support environments"were developed, as well as the typical application systems for urban management, public security, social governance, and e-government services. The achievements, such as the general goal, the main contents, the overall structure, and the application mode of sharing platform of basic geographic information, are provided for developing the public information platform of smart city.
