Abstract: More calculations were made and the results showed that the upper limit of explosion limit of coke oven gas was greatly increased , which increased the risk of explosion.Compressing the coke oven gas and nature gas to the same pressure , the needed compression power of coke oven gas was greater than nature gas.By comparing the compressibility factor, it can be known that the compressibility of coke oven gas was poor , and the volume of compressed gas was larger than that of ideal gas.But by the analysis of gas stability , during the compression process , the chemical reaction can't occur , the gas stability of coke oven gas was better.Therefore , through the safety and economy aspects , it was not feasible to compress gas production from coke oven gas.
