Abstract: Mechanical seals in the oil refining business are essential , have a great impact on the whole machine equipment even for security of the entire production process , the entire device is a mechanical device leakproof , energy and control environment pollution important foundation member . The leakage rate is an important indicator of the mechanical seal , and it can be influenced by the operating pressure and the speed of the ring .In order to solve this problem, taking the operating pressure and speed ring as the research objects , a double spiral groove surface arrangement wrap experiment was made .In the rotating speed of 1700 rpm, 2300 rpm, 2900 rpm, under the pressure of 0.1 MPa, 0.2 MPa, 0.3 MPa, 0.4 MPa, 0.5 MPa, respectively, the value of corresponding leakage was measured .Double spiral groove mechanical seal face characteristics and optimum operational state were drawn , so as to guide the optimal design of mechanical seals .
