Abstract: A benzothiazolium ﹣ based ionic liquid was synthesized by direct alkylation of benzothiazole using triethylorthoformate as the alkyl donor in the Presence of ammonium hexafluoroPhosPhate. The structure of the ionic liquid was elucidated by the melting Point,ⅠR and NMR. The method was simPle and easy to control.
