Abstract:
Fire in the Wildland-Urban Interface(WUI) is a complex and severe phenomena. The attention to the safety problems of WUI chemical industrial plants under threats of forest fires was inadequately paid. The characteristics of formation and spread of WUI fires were analyzed in the study, and two paths of ignition of chemical industrial plants, fire radiation and spot fire, were discussed. Fire mitigation options for WUI chemical industry were presented.
