Abstract: In order to improve the efficiency of fluid jet polishing(FJP),the method of using multi-nozzle structure is proposed.According to principles of fluid dynamics,the composite flow field characteristic of multi-nozzle structure is analyzed theoretically.The flow field distribution of different models with different number of nozzles is calculated;pressure and velocity distribution curve of complex flow field is obtained by simulation.The theoretical material removal models of single nozzle,three-nozzle and seven-nozzle model are established,and removal distribution is calculated and compared.The results show that when the impingement height is 10 dand the distance between the two nozzles is 5d(dis the diameter of the nozzle),material removal rate of three-nozzle model is 2.16 times of the single nozzle model’s,and seven-nozzle’s is 4.25 times of the single nozzle’s.
