Abstract: Deform cumulation of sheet rolling is propitious to refine grains ,grain microstructure could be refined by increasing effective strain and effective stress employing with multi‐rolling . The materials of low carbon low alloy steel AISI‐4140 were rolled by simulation .The sheets were rolled from 4 mm to 2 mm ,and from 4 mm to 3 mm ,to 2 mm again .The value of effective stress in multi‐rolling was bigger than the value in one‐rolling when deformation was the same quantity ,grains would be refined obviously .In addition ,effective strain and effective stress of point tracking nearby top and bottom mill rolls were bigger than middle section ,so the refine is apparent in the top and bottom area .
