Study on Investigation of Occurrence of Bleeding Bark Disease in Ulmus pumila in Urumqi City

Abstract: In order to confirm the occurrence and the related factors that affect the bleeding bark disease in Urumqi City,the occurrence were investigated in botanic garden,water park,Hongshan park and the campus of Xinjiang Agricultural University in Urumqi City by random sampling method. The results showed that the disease incidence rate and disease index of campus(75.00%and 51.25)were heaviest,Hongshan park was the lightest(56.70%).Ulmus pumila was heavier than Ulmus pumila Linn CV.’Pendula’and Ulmus densa Litw.Disease was more serious on the Ulmus pumila which had more trim wound and larger diameter.Research results provided theoretical basis for the diagnosis of disease and comprehensive prevention and control of bleeding bark disease in Ulmus pumila.
