Abstract: Objective To investigate the m RNA and expression of FK506 binding protein 52(FKBP52)in the chorionic villi of patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion(RSA) and normal women during early pregnancy.Methods Fresh chorionic villus tissues were collected from 30 patients with a history of RSA(experimental group)and30 normal early pregnant women(control group)at Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University between February 2012 and June 2013.The FKBP52 m RNA and protein expression levels were detected by semiquantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry,respectively. Results FKBP52 was expressed in chorionic villi samples of normal early pregnant women and RSA patients.However,RSA patients exhibited significantly lower FKBP52 m RNA(1.109 ± 0.292 vs.1.484 ± 0.198,P<0.05)and protein(IOD:68.2 ± 8.4 vs.91.8 ± 5.3,P<0.01)expression levels compared with those in normal early pregnancies.Conclusion The expression of FKBP52 may play a key role in embryo implantation and early pregnancy maintenance,the low exprssion of FKBP52 may be involved in the pathogenesis of RSA.
