Abstract: Taking the vertical vibration of cold rolling mill system as the research object, combining the research results of the vertical vibration problem of cold rolling mill in recent years, methods of suppressing vertical vibration were discussed from the angle of emulsion performance parameters. The effects of parameter and performance of emulsion p H value, content of iron powder and saponification value on friction coefficient were researched. The results show that: appropriately increasing friction coefficient between the rolls is useful to inhibit the vertical vibration of cold rolling mill. Under the emulsion p H value of 4.0-5.0, content of iron powder of 600-1000 mg/L and saponification value of(120-160)×10-3KOH, the friction coefficient of emulsion can be reasonably increased.
