Abstract: To exactly simulate the interaction of the prestressed tendons and concrete during the tensioning process of the prestressed components,a method to analyze the whole tensioning process based on the direct constraint method is introduced.In this method,the MSC.MARC software was used to establish the models of the prestressed components,the concrete and prestressed tendons were simulated by the three-dimensional solid elements,the Coulomb bilinear model was defined as the frictional constructive relations between the concrete and the prestressed tendons,and the direct constraint method was used to describe the contact relation,to carry out the whole process analysis of the tensioning of prestressed tendons.The method was used to do the whole process analysis of the tensioning of the prestressed components in the two prestressed component models.The simulated calculation value,measured value and the theoretical calculation value in the design code were compared.The results of the comparison show that the effective prestress value simulated by the method is in good agreement with the measured value and the theoretical value,proving the accuracy of the method.
