Abstract: Highway mileage increases in recent years, causing traffic pollution, which will impact the growth of plants around the road. Plant phenotypic plasticity is a kind of adaptation to the environment, and it reflects characteristic changes of plants after pollution. Road region plants around the Fu county state of 210 th national highway were chosen as the object of the present study. Based on plant diversity survey, several phenotypic plasticity indexes of three dominant plants in sample plots were determined, including height, root length, leaf area and root- shoot ratio, and environmental parameters such as soil water content, traffic volume and the amount of dust absorption were also investigated. Phenotypic plasticity trend of the plant in the road region was studied and briefly analyzed.
