MICROBIOLOGICAL ASSAY METHOD OF β-LACTAM ANTIBIOTIC IN THE PRESENT OF AMINOGLYCOSIDE

Abstract: β-lactam antibiotics combined with aminoglvcosides are often used in clinical practice. The β-lactam antibiotics can be determined by microbiological method and no effects by aminoglvcosides in use of the inactivator cellulose phosphate to bind aminQglycosides was observed. From the results of our study, it is shown that the zone’s diameter and the linear regressive parameters and the regressive coefficient between the test groups and the control groups were no significant differences. It may be concluded that microbiological assay is suitable for clinical monitoring ofβ-lactam antibiotics, when combined with aminoglycosides.
