Abstract: Streptomyces S-81-24 was found to produce a chymotrypsin inhibitor.It showed strong inhibition against chyaotrypsin.It was soluble in water, methanol and insoluble in aetone, ether, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, benzene, chloroform etc. There is no obvi-ous peak showed in the ultravielet obsorp-tion spectrum.It has a strong affinity for chymotrypsin. When casein and hemeglobin were employed as a substrates, The Ki values were 4.0×10-9 or 2.4×10-8 respective-
