Abstract: This paper studied and discussed "Engineering Estimate Approach" by EPRI for safety assessment of pressure vessel and piping. Crack initiation and stable crack growth, as well as instable load were calculated using compact specimdn,12Cr1MoV piping steel of power station- The result of calculating compared with actual measure is shown that evaluating the safety of crack is feasible. The approach is applied to elasticpJastic condition from less limit yield to fully plastic yield. The approch is quick and handy of safety-assessment.
