Experimental study on plate solar phase-change heat collector with sun shade function

Abstract: In this paper a new solar phase-change heat collector integrated with the sun shade was designed and studied by detail experiment. A test platform for heat collecting performance and thermal insulation properties was built in the laboratory, the performance of heat collecting and the properties of thermal insulation of the new solar phase-change heat collector were tested in detail.The solar phase-change heat collector could provide a new engineering application pattern and enlarged the function of the sun shade used in architecture and realized the integration between solar energy and building. According to the experimental test, the heat collecting performance, the thermal insulation properties and the influence factors of the new solar phase-change heat collector were derived under the different test conditionings, and performance evaluation indexes of the heat collection, heat collecting efficiency and thermal insulation property for the new heat collector were derived by analyzing the test results. The average collection efficiency of the new solar phase-change heat collector was about 12.3% and the insulation performance was better than that of ordinary sun shade.
