The Comparision of Early Growth in the Afforestation of Different Provenance for Chinese fir

Abstract: Five different breeds of Cunninghamia lanceolata seedings including 1.5,2 and 3 generation seedling,Yanping seedlings and Shunchang clones,were used to carry out afforestation in Yanping District of Nanping City.The growth survey suggest that:in the first two years,the growth of both height and diameter of 2 and 3 generationsseedlings was slightly better than the others;after two years later,seedings of 1.5 generations gradually show grow-ing superiority;Shunchang clones perform weaker in height,diameter and individual volume than those of any other4 breeds.In conclusion,Yanping seedlings may be more appropriate for afforestation in Yanping District of NanpingCity,followed by 1.5 generations seedlings,but it still need further study to support the conclusion.
