Abstract: Zhengzhou Yellow River Wetland Reserve was set up in November 2004. It was in the north of the Zhengzhou City in Henan province. It was in the middle and lower reaches of Yellow River. The total length of Zhengzhou Yellow River Wetland Reserve was 158.5 km, and the maximum span was 23 km. The total area was 2 534 km2. Zhengzhou Yellow River Wetland Reserve climate of warm temperate continental monsoon climate. The study selected 4 wetlands in Zhengzhou Yellow River Wetland Reserve. According to remote sensing data and field surveys in 2009, using the human activity pressures index assessed the degree of human disturbance in Zhengzhou Yellow River Wetland Reserve, and analyzed how the vegetation species diversity of wetland communities responded to the pressure of human activities. The results showed that, the human activity pressure was large in the study area, and the Yellow River Wetland has become typical degraded region of riverine wetland ecosystem under the severe impact of human activities. It had a declination in number of species in study area, and species differences among the various habitats increased. The pressure of urbanization was the main reason leading to changes of community diversity.
