Abstract: Some typical advanced oxidation technologies were introduced, such as Fenton oxidation, O3 oxidation, photocatalytic oxidation, electrochemical oxidation and wet air oxidation method. The reaction mechanism, characteristics,major problems and application progress in treatment of bio-refractory organic wastewater by these technologies were discussed as well as the development prospect of each advanced oxidation processes.
