Abstract: This paper presents a new control scheme which combines the recently developed adaptive control with robust control. At first, an adaptive law is obtained based on the reduced model of the plant, and then it is used in the real plant. The stability and robustness of the whole system are analysed and it is shown that the stability and the robustness of the real control system are desirable and are better than normal model reference adaptive control systems and robust control systems.
