Abstract: This paper analyses the vibration control of a flexible cantilever beam with collocated piezoelectric sensors and actuators being the layers msde of piezoelectric ceramic (PZT)and piezoelectric polyvinylidene fluoride fluoride (PVDF), presents the system model and designs a linear feedback control law. By using LaSalle’s invariance principle in infinite dimensional space, we show that implementation of the control algorinthm results in asymptotical stability of the closea loop system.
